Republic Day 2025: Delhi Traffic Police issues advisory, check routes

Republic Day celebrations started at Delhi. The traffic advisory said that travel from Vijay Chowk to India Gate will be prohibited till the parade is completed.

“Some traffic restrictions will be in effect in Delhi in view of the Parade Full Dress Rehearsal on #RepublicDay 23 January 2025. Passengers are requested to avoid using the mentioned routes and plan their journey accordingly,” the traffic police said in its post on X.

Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory for commuters in Delhi and the national capital region (NCR) for the Republic Day celebration.

Timing of restrictions

These restrictions will be in place from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm in Delhi on behalf of the Republic Day celebration.

Routes to avoid

Traffic is not allowed from Vijay Chowk to India Gate after 6 p.m. on January 22 until the parade is completed.

Beginning at 11 p.m. on January 22, cross-street traffic will not be permitted at Rafi Marg, Janpath, and Man Singh Road until the parade is over

No traffic movement will be allowed on Tilak Marg, BSZ Marg and Subhash Marg, C-Hexagon will be closed from 9:15 am until the parade crosses Tilak Marg
