PM Modi Likely to Visit US In February to meet Donald Trump

US President Donald Trump said on Monday (local time) that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the United States in February.

Trump’s statement followed his telephonic conversation with PM Modi, their first since the Republican was sworn in for a second term on January 20.

President Trump also stated that he spoke with Prime Minister Modi about immigration and that India will return “illegal immigrants” in accordance with “what is right.”

“I had a long talk with him this morning (Monday). He is going to be coming to the White House over the next month, probably in February. We have a very good relationship with India,” US President Trump told reporters.

The president was responding to a question on the phone call he had with PM Modi.

“Everything came up (in a phone call with Modi),” Trump told reporters when asked about the details of his call with Prime Minister Modi.
