Young Couple Dies by Suicide in Front of Train in Mumbai

On Sunday, a 15-year-old girl and her 20-year-old boyfriend committed suicide on the Vikhroli railway tracks in Mumbai. The police said the boy left behind a suicide note, which stated that the two were in a relationship, but the girl’s family opposed it. The incident has been reported as an unintentional death by the Government Railway Police (GRP). 

The young couple had known each other for the past few months, and the family of the woman decided to send her to the village. The boyfriend went to the girl’s house on Sunday to discuss with her father and tell him about their relationship. He left, nonetheless, because the family did not alter their choice. Later, the daughter left the house without informing anyone about where she was going.

Police Case

Given the intimate bond between the two, her family filed a case of abduction against the boy at the local police station. The boy was found to have a smartphone and a suicide note. After verifying their identities, the GRP informed their relatives.

The pair died when they leaped in front of the Garib Rath train at Vikhroli station at approximately 1:50 pm.
