The poor performance of the Indian cricket team in recent times has forced BCCI to set strict rules for the players.
The following are the new policy’s main points:
1. Mandatory Domestic Cricket: Players must play domestic matches through which they can earn their selection to the national team and central contracts as well. 2. Family Travel Restrictions: The family can accompany the players for no more than two weeks during any tour over 45 days, and only after permission has been granted by the head coach and the selectors. 3. No Personal Staff: Personal staff such as chefs, managers, or bodyguards are not allowed to be employed except with prior clearance from the BCCI. 4. Team Travel Only: Players are only allowed to travel with the team during match and practice sessions, there will be no separate travel arrangements for families. 5. Endorsement Restrictions: Personal endorsement shoots or any other promotional events are not allowed during an ongoing series or a tour so that players can concentrate only on cricket. 6. Mandatory Practice Attendance: All players are required to be present for all training sessions as no optional practice will be provided. 7. Baggage Limits: Players should follow baggage limits. 8. Strict Tour Completion: Players should remain with the team until the end of the entire tour regardless of the status of their matches ensuring the team’s unity. 9. Official BCCI Engagements: Each player is obliged to attend official BCCI events, shoots, and promotions. 10. Consequences for Non-Compliance: Breaches of these rules are punishable with exclusions from BCCI events, fines, or cuts of players’ contracts.
These rules of BCCI might be beneficial for the team, and if the rules have not been followed, the players will face many problems. Team India new rules
